On the occasion of the XVIIIth Francophonie Summit and at the invitation of ALECSO and OIF, the jury* of the Ibn Khaldoun-Senghor Literary and Humanities Translation Prize, from French into Arabic and from Arabic into French, reveals the award winner of its fifteenth edition.
The Ibn Khaldoun-Senghor 2022 Prize has been awarded to the University professor Jean-Baptiste BRENET (France) for his translation from medieval Arabic into French of the work of the philosopher Averroès (Ibn Rochd) « L’intellect – Compendium du livre De l’âme », published by Vrin (France, 2022).

The ceremony took place in the Senate's Salon de Boffrand, as part of Latin America and Caribbean Week. This activity was born in 2011 on the initiative of the Senate and entrusted to the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs since 2014.
