The volume brings together the main texts of Averroes (1126-1198), translated from Arabic, on the question of God's knowledge of the world: does he know it, and to what extent? Does God know what individuals and singular things are, does He know the details of reality, or does He only have a global, general knowledge of it? This major problem is one of the points of conflict between philosophy and theology in Islam.
