Podcast : Raconter épilepsie

Raconter épilepsie

Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disease. Although as many as 600,000 people in France suffer from it, it seems to be largely misunderstood and even forgotten by society.

Raconter l’épilepsie : un podcast en humanités médicales s’intéresse aux liens entre épilepsie et narration et donne à entendre les principaux récits qui entourent la maladie.

Taking the form of an interdisciplinary scientific popularization of epilepsy, this podcast is based on the medical humanities work of Claire Jeantils.

The researcher brings together different perspectives on the disease: testimonials from those affected (sufferers, carers, doctors, etc.), cultural representations of epilepsy and research into the chronic illness.

Raconter l'épilepsie (Telling the Story of Epilepsy) is aimed at people with and without epilepsy, professionals, students and researchers in the fields of health and medical humanities.
